Biblical preaching
The Bible is our standard; the basis for sermons, budgets, pastoral care, and the calendar. We try to measure everything against the Word of God.

Authentic worship
Worship is for God, not for show. Singing, giving, and the work no one sees–all of this flows from our heart, or it is pointless.

Living with a mission
Making disciples starts at home in Maggie Valley. There are needs throughout our community, but it doesn't end there. The mission reaches to the edges of the world.
What we consider
Every role has different requirements and needs, but there are some things consistent through them all.
Regardless of the type of position, we are looking for members of our team that exemplify Christian character, believe what we believe, and are committed to serving Christ wholeheartedly. Some positions though may require different work experience or theological trainging, for example.

Every position has a bit of a different process, but here is the basic flow.

Read the posting
We try to answer as many questions as we can at the beginning of the process. Please, note the deadline and what we are asking you to submit.

Submit your application and résumé
Use the apply button on the posting. It opens an application form where we can get some basic information from you, as well as an opportunity for you to submit your résumé.

Hear from Calvary Road
We read every application, and we will let you know via email that we received it. As we work through the process, we will get back in contact with you if we need more information, or if we would like to meet with you regarding the position.

Ask your questions
If we reach back out to you, you will have an opportunity to ask about the work, the pay, and the church. You are deciding about us as much as we are deciding about you, and we want you to be well informed.

Then what?
The next steps following the initial interview depend largely on what position you are seeking. Pastoral positions are subject to a church vote and a longer process; while interns may be hired immediately after the initial interview. Feel free to ask, where we are in the process.
